The startup iFactory3D introduces the iFactory One. The first 3D printer with the PrinterGUARD protection system with error detection function. PrinterGUARD is based on artificial intelligence (AI) algorithms that can detect and correct 3D printing errors.

The iFactory One’s AI can learn on its own while operating and continuously updating the printer software via the cloud. Soon, the PrinterGUARD AI algorithms will detect up to 20 types of errors, helping to avoid them.

In addition, the iFactory One has cloud-based technical support that provides customers with regular software updates, a high level of service as well as the protection against printing errors with PrinterGUARD.
The development of the PrinterGUARD software is directly related to the unique selling point of the Düsseldorf-based startup’s first hardware product. iFactory3D has dedicated the last year and a half to the development of a 3D belt printer to soon leave the usual limitations of additive manufacturing behind.

With a conveyor belt as the print bed, there is literally no limit to the length of the printed objects. The iFactory One (with non-stop operation) allows users to expand their horizons and creativity with complete automation and a continuous printing process. Thanks to the belt, objects don’t need to be taken off the print bed manually anymore. Instead, they peel off automatically when starting the next print and thereby moving the conveyor. And because iFactory One’s printing processes can be controlled remotely, there’s no need to be on-site to keep production going.
